COST MANAGEMENT

Reducing Manufacturing Costs with Value Analysis

Consulting for Cost Management and Product Cost Optimization

A significant percentage of Manufacturing Costs can be avoided! When developing new or improving existing products, opportunities to optimize product costs are often ignored: potentials arising from unnecessary or unneeded functions and over-specifications are often not recognized or pursued, and too little attention is paid to potential differentiating factors among competitors. That pushes manufacturing costs up. The remedy here is an established methodology to optimize products: Value Analysis. It is particularly used to reduce Manufacturing Costs and adapt the product to the customer's needs. The goal is to meet customer expectations at a marketable price and at competitive costs. We achieve this by consistently focusing on value and cost drivers. Thus, the optimal product value can be generated. This is what sustainable Cost Management looks like.

Optimize product costs

An essential competence field is Product Cost Optimization. POLARIXPARTNER's aim is to optimize value creation along the entire value chain. Consistent cost reduction over the product lifecycle is an important aspect to strengthen competitiveness among manufacturing companies. Thus, based on an effective Cost Management and a comprehensive Cost Analysis, strategic directions to optimize measures come as a result. Consequence: production costs decrease.

Analyzing the costs

Active Cost Management is geared to the future and is therefore designed in the early stages of product development in order to control the dependency between cost planning, cost determination and cost causation in a goal-oriented manner.

Successful Cost Management has to be considered as a continuous process - with Cost Analysis as a basis. The goal of this Cost Analysis is the division of a product's costs into its individual components in terms of product calculation. Cost Analysis is the starting point for price or cost reduction and is seen at POLARIXPARTNER as a holistic consulting approach to identify all avoidable costs. Our Cost Management benefits you.
