POLARIXPARTNER CO2 Calculation System
Cost optimization, CO2 reduction, climate neutrality and risk minimization in the supply chain will play an important role in industry in the upcoming years. Energy and industrial plants as well as air traffic are already subject to the obligation to compensate for resulting CO2 emissions by means of certificates. An expansion of the affected industries as well as an increase in CO2 costs or the certificate price can be assumed for the future.
Getting to the bottom of CO2 emissions
But how can the CO2 emissions of a product be calculated? How does the price of a product develop through the pricing of emissions. How can climate neutrality be achieved in the future supply chain without negcleting costs optimazation? In order to answer these questions and make sustainable decisions, it is inevitable to create transparency about the resulting CO2 emissions and to get an overview of the CO2 balance via effective CO2 reporting and controlling.
CO2 Consulting and Green Data
The CO2 database of POLARIXPARTNER supports our customers to have an overview of the CO2 balance for the production and the products. Most of the greenhouse gas emissions of companies occur in the supply and production chain. Therefore, the determination of CO2 emissions is essential for a comapny‘s carbon footprint. However, most companies do not have or lacking reliable data on the CO2 emissions of their supply chain? The CO2 calculator of POLARIXPARTNER rovides companies with efficient answers to these issues.
The Green TCO Approach
With the new calculation approach POLARIXPARTNER supports its customers in determining emissions transparently over the entire product creation process (TCO approach). We have an extensive material database with more than 1,000 CO2 equivalents (CO2e), such as aluminum, that can be automatically adjusted for specific countries.
In addition, the CO2 emissions generated are allocated to the respective product with second-by-second precision using the necessary machines for production and the corresponding cycle times in order to determine the carbon footprint.
